How We Work — Marilabakoren

Site survey and measurement
Every project starts with a site visit. We don't quote from floor plans alone because walls shift, buildings settle, and a small error on paper becomes a real problem in aluminum. An engineer measures each opening with a laser unit, checks the load-bearing capacity of the wall or frame, and photographs the surroundings. If the building is still under construction, we coordinate timing with the general contractor to avoid measuring too early or too late. You get a measurement report within a couple of days, and that report is the basis for the quote. No guessing, no rounding up.

Engineering and design
Once measurements are locked, the engineering team builds a 3D model of the glazing system. We calculate wind load, thermal performance, and acoustic insulation for each panel based on the building's location and orientation. A south-facing facade handles different conditions than a north-facing one, and the glass composition reflects that. You receive technical drawings showing every profile, gasket, and fixing point, along with the thermal calculations. If the architect has specific requirements (thinner sightlines, a particular frame color), those get worked in at this stage. The design freezes only after you sign off.

Manufacturing
We produce aluminum profiles in-house using 6063-T5 alloy. The extrusion press runs at our Namdong-gu facility, so we control tolerances from raw material to finished frame. After extrusion, each profile gets a thermal break insertion and powder coating. Glass units are assembled in a separate clean area: panes are sealed with argon or krypton, Low-E coatings are applied, and each unit goes through a pressure test. Every finished frame and glass unit gets a QR code linking to its test certificate. Standard residential orders take a few weeks; custom facade panels take longer depending on the coating.

Installation and handover
Our own crew handles installation. The lead installer was part of the measurement team, so they already know the site. Work starts with anchoring the sub-frame to the structural wall, then hanging the glazing units. Each panel is checked for plumb and level, and the perimeter seal is applied in a continuous bead. Once every panel is in place, we do a walkthrough with you: checking every opener, lock, and seal. You get a maintenance booklet covering cleaning schedules and hardware care. If anything needs attention during the warranty period, a call gets a technician to the site within a few working days anywhere in the Incheon area.
